Nestled amidst the peaceful ponderosa pines between Flagstaff and Williams, Arizona. Live Free Ranch is a non-profit haven dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong protection of neglected, abused, and surrendered horses.

The high-country terrain of Northern Arizona offers a unique, healing environment for equine recovery. From the peaks of Flagstaff to the gateway plains of Williams, our mission is to restore health, dignity, and true freedom to every horse that walks through our gates. Whether they need intensive medical rehabilitation, a temporary foster home, or a permanent retirement pasture to live out their golden years, we provide a soft landing.

Our Core Pillars of Equine Care

At Live Free Ranch, we tailor recovery plans to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of every resident in our herd. Our key services include:

Equine Rescue & Rehabilitation: We provide immediate medical intervention, nutritional rehabilitation, and gentle behavioral training for horses coming from neglectful or abusive situations in Coconino County.
Permanent Equine Sanctuary: For horses with chronic medical conditions or advanced age, we offer a permanent sanctuary where they can live out their days in comfort and peace.
Community Outreach & Education: Offering video workshops on proper horse care, high-altitude equine management, and public awareness campaigns to prevent animal neglect.

Volunteer

Assist with daily feeding, grooming, barn chores, and event planning at our facilities.

Sponsor a Horse

Provide monthly funding for a specific rescue horse’s hay, supplements, and farrier care.

Supply Donations

We are always in need of quality alfalfa/grass hay, breakaway halters, fly masks, lead ropes, and winter blankets.

Financial Donations

100% of tax-deductible donations go directly toward emergency care, veterinary bills and shelter operations.
