Let them run | Let them heal | Let them Live Free

Healing Hooves in the High Country: Welcome to Live Free Ranch
Providing a safe haven, rehabilitation, and a second chance for rescued horses across Flagstaff, Williams, and Northern Arizona.
Nestled amidst the peaceful ponderosa pines between Flagstaff and Williams, Arizona. Live Free Ranch is a non-profit haven dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong protection of neglected, abused, and surrendered horses.
The high-country terrain of Northern Arizona offers a unique, healing environment for equine recovery. From the peaks of Flagstaff to the gateway plains of Williams, our mission is to restore health, dignity, and true freedom to every horse that walks through our gates. Whether they need intensive medical rehabilitation, a temporary foster home, or a permanent retirement pasture to live out their golden years, we provide a soft landing.
Our Vision: To foster a community where every horse can truly live free—valued, protected, and given the chance to thrive in a safe and loving environment.
At Live Free Ranch, we tailor recovery plans to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of every resident in our herd. Our key services include:
The beautiful but rugged climate of Northern Arizona presents specific challenges for horse owners—from heavy winter snows in Flagstaff to dry summer conditions in Williams. When hardships hit, horses are often the first to suffer.
As a premier Northern Arizona horse rescue, Live Free Ranch acts as a vital safety net for the community. We bridge the gap by providing emergency sheltering, hay assistance when possible, and a judgment-free surrender process for owners who can no longer care for their animals.
Running a horse sanctuary in Flagstaff and Williams requires a village. We rely entirely on the generosity of animal lovers like you to keep our barns stocked and our pastures safe.
